The Unemotional Male

But I thought
'He', was fiery warrior
Cowering at nothing;
Avoiding show of 'weakness'
'Achilles' likely to render
'Him', putty in the hands of another...

See! your talk of emotions is 'unmanly'!
It goes against 'laws' of male propriety.
Do you not see
As Man enters 'His' house
Having stayed away
For the better part of every day
He gruffly clears His throat
Announcing His Lordly entrance
Dressing His face with mask of sternness
Belying what is beneath.

He 'chews stones'
So that 'masses' will not 'disrespect'
Since 'respect' is reciprocal
He gives sternness in equal measure.

Thus we shall not allow
'Dilution' of manly purity
With enticing allure of emotional display!

We remain 'unemotional'!

A Midnight Encounter

You see when it starts to rain, the soul that luvs the rain lights up with an electric fervor! . I close my eyes and listen to the musical lyrics of raindrops drumming upon the rooftop, which pours down the drains. . I sit against the windows and watch countless slates slash against the pane and flashes of lightening streak across the reddened midnight sky. And then... . POW! CRACKOW! A blasting blare of thunder makes me shudder, almost jumping out of fright. .
