Of Ostriches and Rotting Corpses: A Short, Dwarfed Story
One day as I sat daydreaming, I saw myself as an ostrich. Not that one that buries its head in the sand thinking it has hidden its whole body, no!
Mine was the newsmedia type that poaches other Ostriches' 'breaking' eggs. I had this long slender neck and as I strolled in the compound, I peaked into my neighbour's backyard. There and then I sighted him digging and as I looked closer and craned my neck, I realised I had caught him burying a dead corpse.
And then, just like that I suddenly remembered the rotting corpse in my sitting room and I quickly forgot about my neighbour's and turned to hurriedly go back into my house. As I strode into the house (still as an ostrich), it was then I awoke from my reverie and the first thing I realised was the 'stench' in the room.
Such a strange, strange incident...
