Mallumta (Scholarship)

The scribe's ink wets the slate as 'alkalami' pens the hallowed script.

'Littafai' layed neatly in the 'lounge', enough proof that learning is the preoccupation of this learned literate.

'Alif, Lam and Meem' have left there mark on many a sitting and the container of 'tawada' would not mind a refill.

'Buzun Malam' upon which the limbs repose holds many a memory of 'taqara' sessions.

How many a 'dalibai' and have passed through the hands of my Honored Mallam?

I wish I were there to 'gyara alkyabar Mallam!

We pray to Allah to continue blessing the souls of our 'Mallamai!'
