An Opinion on the World Today
I thus decided to look at the world on a global level and touch a few issues baring my mind on what I feel.
No doubt that since the dawn of time, economic interests have influenced most happenings and developments in the world and leading us to where we are today. Over the ages, powers, alliances, empires, institutions, ideologies, and interests of different forms have risen; reigned and come and gone. In this day and age the US is no doubt the World Power and nothing has primed it for this position so much as its sense of strategy.
Strategic positioning in the economic and political sphere based on a military and defensive outlook has made US what it is. Coalition in their activities has also been primary especially by the motto: No permanent friends or enemies; only permanent 'interests'. These interests remain constant based on their ideology and thus they flexibly adapt to changes in the Global Political economy...which is the driving force behind all crises and happenings.
Nevertheless, the trend is showing that the next few decades will be one in which the global economy will gradually change and move towards what I would refer to as the MBRICS (=Mexico; Brazil; Russia; India; China; South Africa) Coalition.
There is evidence that the capitalist hegemony is imploding and coupled with the devastation of socio-cultural rot that has eaten away at the western world it will be far easier to pull down the house for whomsoever might be interested.
It should be noted that the MBRICS coalition can only reduce the power that is concentrated in the Western axis to the extent that they are bound by a common economic cooperation. Thus the Political and International relations dimensions in the power struggle will still remain and espionage will be used pervasively.
Most regions will also move towards civil strife and short of prophesying the 3rd World War would not be ruled out before the next 50years expires. In this, there is all likelihood of the war being either a nuclear war or with biological weapons being employed perhaps on an isolated basis or perhaps on a full-scale doomsday style.
Bio-diversity will be greatly affected and the pace of 'global-warming' will rapidly speeded up whereby many coastal habitations will be below sea-level as the ice-caps of the North & South pole melt to increase the water level.
Also inevitably, the resultant effect would see the increase in natural disasters such as volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, typhoons, tsunamis, tornadoes, etc. on one hand and proliferation of diseases on the other hand especially in high-density population areas. Population explosion is a continuing phenomenon with debate on how to curb the strain it places on resources available (that is a topic for another discussion).
Such factors are not a matter of whether or not they will happen but rather they are a question of when. The disillusionment of large sections of the world population based on the strain that greed and avarice and unlimited and uninhibited growing covetousness whereby the rich keep getting richer at the expense of the poor who keep getting poorer and concentration of wealth in the hands of a very minute portion of the world population has caused an imbalance in the world's natural scale thus tipping us towards destruction.
Ironically, everything is going according to plan or more better according to what it is supposed to be...
For even the Sun is running out of its fuel and meteors are threateningly swirling towards the Earth's path coupled with the internal stress that the Earth is being subjected to, there is no doubt that a Doomsday scenario is playing out.
In conclusion, I would say that the World is coming to an end...so work hard towards that which will benefit you in the next life.
