On 'Criticism'

I can sit here in comfort, safe, snug; relatively secure and start to spew out holier than thou comments/sanctimonious narratives of how 'this and that' is not right. But in the final analysis I have no idea what it means to be in 'those shoes'.

While it may be true that some things are self inflicted, it is also true that nothing is hardly ever one-sided. We can only build scenarios in our heads founded upon incomplete templates of what it's like and how 'we think it aught to be'. But we can never really 'know'.

We take many things for granted like assuming that 1+1=2 and for everyone it will be so because of providence. We tend to forget that for many 1+Y=2 where they must - by virtue of circumstance - look for whY or what or when or how!

So the next time you disapprovingly look at that 'wretched' person, give some benefit of: 'not knowing' what they are actually going thru!
