On the Unfortunate Incident(s) Concerning the Shia in Zaria

Someone asked me on what is the Shariah ruling on those who abused the Holy prophet (SAW). It was like a justification of the killing of the Shia followers. SMH

Well what I want to say is that whatever is the case, it is certainly not a firing squad by the army. Islam is organized and does not promote jungle justice and chaos.
The sanctity of 'life' is very key as a 'maqasid' of shariah and it is why 'witnesses' are key in sentencings. All this is proof that there is procedure, there is restraint especially by the person who wields authority and power.

There seems to be a 'latent' hatred for Shias amongst other Muslims and it is a very dangerous hatred that is akin to that which BH & ISIS have for any individuals who do not share their worldview.
Also, there is a subtle blackmail, that sees every word that seems to support a Shia 'right' as 'proof' of one being a Shia. Thus many people are silenced in order not to be 'branded' as such. (I will not be surprised if this will not earn me my own!) Yet justice demands that one says what is the truth no matter how distasteful it is.

These recent happenings as well as numerous others in the Northern part of Nigeria are worrisome signals of flashpoints and deeply-rooted seeds of genocide that will in a blink go off like atomic bombs if we do not sit down to address them.
