On Revenue Generation and Resource Allocation
Resource allocation needs to be tied to both productivity and responsibility. We cannot have billions being released to all tiers and then we have nothing on ground to show for it.
Here we can see why a proper taxation system is our fastest route to accountability because non-tax receipts are seen as 'free-money' and thus there is low to non-existent 'oversight' by citizens to demand for probity and good governance in managing these funds.
My belief is that no 'entity' should have recurrent expenditure that cannot be supported by its internally generated revenue. At the same time all revenue accruable to it by way of Federal allocation should be seed money to be used in ensuring that the 'competitive advantage(s)' it has are developed to ensure 'sustainability'.
Again, our mono-economy is one factor responsible for stagnation. It is my belief that the fastest route to 'resource-control' is the diversification of the economy to enable all sectors commensurately contribute to the national revenue pool so that there will be less feeling of injustice and parasitism.
Barring the effective implementation of such policies the cry of marginalization would never abate and the attendant by-product of socioeconomic upheaval would always rear its head because at the heart of all crises in human relations, lies the complex of redistribution of resources.
