Fragments of Love

How do we return to eternity...
When it's shattered beyond repair?

How can these hearts be happy...
When we've chosen despair?

How is it we hold onto vanity...
When even on ourselves it's not fair?

These pieces of fragments I hold...
Are evidence of a love of old.

Though withered & frail It might've been;
I reminisce the times we have seen.

So do not think all is in vain;
Glass shattered in a window pane...

Lo! Behold our love is rather like clay;
The fragments mendable anyday.

When do we start our journey...
Everlasting beyond compare?

When shall we bury the worry;
Of imperfection that we share?

Well, in eternity there's no hurry;
Only unity, in a pair...
