Stimulation

It's always good to have stimulation In it many find peace and some perfection From the stories shared with mixtures of emotion To the jokes that give faces and hearts their expression Laughter, happiness & joy full of addiction Nostalgia reminds us of the times we shared in relaxation That we now yearn for with conviction As an age gone, seeming like fiction So people, do share any revelation For many writers need a lot of inspiration 'Coz that's really the key to articulation Which relative to other forms of communication Gives writing its clear distinction Thus far my diction has been poetic in constitution Which borders on my love for poetry Writing on a spontaneous spree Yet many may not agree With reading and writing said to be No longer in vogue and harmony Well I still would want to be Sitting my evenings free With a great book, a cup of tea And a writing tool handy While watching the sun bow to Divine decree So remember to enjoy...

Memories Almost Lost

I'm staring at a blank screen, Trying to pen words that slip and flip Refusing my desperate grasp My mind is filled with thoughts As vivid as this white screen I thought it would gush Like a dam burst free Yet even trickles Seem not forthcoming I'm left with a consolation Of an oasis mirage Then gradually a smile reveals Hidden memories Straining to break free I remember the first time we met An insignificance With fate strangely absent And Destiny engaged elsewhere Their cunning and trickery Left me awed How they sent Cupid to appear Like a bullet piercing With the accuracy of a bullseye! The trap sprung, it catches Caging us in labyrinthine prison What was to be pleasant escape Ended as a puzzling maze Of expectations Leading nowhere Each passing day ticking by Sees the rope of hope Twisting, knotted As I sit trying To find words To cut through To get to you I feel your tug And overjoyed I am! So now same memories Will lead me back Ho...

On Revenue Generation and Resource Allocation

Resource allocation needs to be tied to both productivity and responsibility. We cannot have billions being released to all tiers and then we have nothing on ground to show for it. Here we can see why a proper taxation system is our fastest route to accountability because non-tax receipts are seen as 'free-money' and thus there is low to non-existent 'oversight' by citizens to demand for probity and good governance in managing these funds. My belief is that no 'entity' should have recurrent expenditure that cannot be supported by its internally generated revenue. At the same time all revenue accruable to it by way of Federal allocation should be seed money to be used in ensuring that the 'competitive advantage(s)' it has are developed to ensure 'sustainability'. Again, our mono-economy is one factor responsible for stagnation. It is my belief that the fastest route to 'resource-control' is the diversification of the economy ...

Of Scapegoats and Scrambled Eggs

We watched as 'Untouchable Omelet' was 'arraigned', But the recent 'scramble' had left much 'changed' So I sit back and take a sip of tea, Observing and listening to this fascinating story It began with no apparent hurry, The crowd impatient for a quick flurry Then suddenly dance beat was struck As Music stopped, Cat ran out of luck Scales have tipped to a balancing feat, The weight knocks out Scapegoat's teeth No legs to flee with, No mouth to beg or plea with Some will now start running a-skelter, While the wise had since secured equity as shelter The gong strikes twelve, But men will always delve Is it not enough a lesson, A building crushing its mason Who knowingly built, With too much silt For castle of sand, Is like smoke puffed  Off-hand Haidarwali 201507101020hrs
