Book of Life

As I flipped through this Book
I spotted you
and memories flooded
Of words shared in brief
Moments fleeting
In which we stumbled
Upon each other
Before being whisked away.
Indeed this fleeting life
Whose pages are a cartwheel
Is only ever worthy
Of those with whom you share
Blinks of eternity and unending flashes
As I reminisce about you
Whom I've never met
Yet still feel affinity
Strong and confident
As a seasoned seafaring knot
I'm more convinced than ever
That words are a marvel of life.
