A Journey of Comparisons

Dear friend  let me take you for a weird journey  a bumpy ride  a long-winding flurry of steps, stops and turns .  we'll start by looking up above for the earth is covered with a descending darkness   but within the open night sky  is a Doorway shining from the heavens .  so come let us ascend firmaments  one laid upon another like screens to view a million worlds .  have I told you of the wonders of The Twinklings so small and tiny, these shiny little things that dwarf, our haughty sun obliviously residing in Milk's abode .  spots, tiny specks upon my palm  I squint to catch a glimpse of one  the giant moon collector he sends me a postcard  signed: from jupiter, with luv that great happy celestial  with harem of 79 and counting  .  Yet on edge of horizon, Andromeda awaits  jaws wide open, ready to swallow  like a black hole, gaping so I shrank to the safety of my spacy shell like that of migh...

Random Conversations

Forever never comes Because it started since yesterday And today was tomorrow, yesterday You see how the days refuse to stay!  . You ask the color of time  'tis a canvas blank as snow Awaiting destiny's imprint  Like blood red flow  . Silence is a melody  Sweet as a nightingale's  Clear as a midnight rainbow  Piercing as a daytime star  . Have you ever dreamt fluffy soft dreams  Better, have you ever been in love That is how it feels  To be in the clouds   . Worries fall like leaves in autumn  Joy drops upon your cheeks Filling you with happiness  Making you want to dance in the rain  . Roots, remind us of who we are Help us stay strong  Despite the gushing winds  And life's unending struggles  . The cock's crow is proof  Of undaunting manliness  While the hen's silence is proof  Of nurturing resilience  . Shades and mask do not last forever  Each must account  The per...

Another Day, Another Chance

Every new day is a reset waking up a blessing eyelids opening lungs filling heart feeling mind working moments are true gifts present is a time to act another chance for more and better wait not till later waste naught on regret spend instead on giving assisting others 'cast their net' so humanity will reconnect for we are all connected web stringed together from a single thread. . Dilemma

I looked out the window All I saw was chaos. So I went back Closing myself in Insulated, I thought I was Now chaos, Is at my door Banging its fists Furious Like raging fire Do I open Or not. . Haidarwali 201710131233hrs

The Signposts

It seems the soul upon entering the body, forgets from whence it came and where it is returning! . This earthly 'station' lures us, into thinking we have reached destination so, we unpack and settle! . and so when bus arrives we are unprepared disorganised, confused we stutter and stammer . how unfortunate to leave it all behind not a grain will follow, except the faithfully awaiting shroud . and to the next realm we migrate to reap that which was sown. . Listening: The Lost Compass

It's amazing how much you can glean and learn by listening. I mean real listening not 'hearing'. nor ''enter through this ear exit through the other''. . listening by feeling words as they flow from mouth listening by smelling fragrances in syllables and phrases listening by tasting rhythm and flow of words spoken savoring the flavor my dear, such is the beauty lost on humanity . we can listen to virtually anything from speech to music body movement and nature or even silence... also by reading as you are, this very moment reading we can hear anguish and pain when our eyes see it just as we see joy and happiness as its melody sings in our hearts . one might wonder what I am trying to say  well that's an example of us not listening!! we listen to the life's stories every single day yet fail to pick up the story's moral everything is a story embellished with differing details yet having the same essence on...

On Gratitude and Thankfulness

It is a blessing to be alive at this very moment and to be able to put these words together as an expression of the feelings that fill the heart to brim. On many occasions we tend to forget the uncountable gifts we have enjoyed and that are still continuously in our possession. Gifts too numerous for enumeration, yet their multitude seems to make us forget how priceless each is; inestimable. As such, it is quite an uplifting experience to remember and let ourselves float in the realization and appreciation of the countless bounties of our lives. Regardless of creed, gratitude renews us and gives us an opportunity for a 'rebirth' and we become more attuned to reality and our never-ending quest for purpose in our lives. Therefore let me end by saying Alhamdulillah for this moment, and every other one I am blessed with! Haidarwali 201909240808hrs

Hope's Promise

remember my dear, the sun always comes up and the clouds always clear worries are chain-clothes rooted in despair rather, be bird fair who knowing not what will come to bear or whence and where to go to get its peckings yet will never fail each morn in sweetly filling the air chirping, tweeting or cooing faithful promise heralding Haidarwali 201608090722hrs

A Journey of Comparisons

A Journey of Comparisons . Like a Dream (Poetic Prose)

I watched with teary eyes as my beloved's shadow merged into the horizon, the object of my heart's attention melted like winter's last snow. What an ironic twist! . Undeterred by the spasms of Winter's last stand, light's rays started streaming in causing Night to quickly retreat. Dawn had kept his end of the deal with Day - in defiance to Dusk's double-facedness. . The Sun's appearance helped provide a sturdiness not unlike the grounding provided by a long walk that fills the nostrils with brown colored earthiness and greenery's melodic symphony delighted the ears interspersed with colorful birds' singing and tapdance. . Occasional fluffy white clouds hovered above like floating feathers painting the bright blue board that was the sky. The canvas complete was a blissful sight to behold. . Yet still something was amiss. My hand hanging by my side was empty, bereft of the warmth of companionship. So I sat on a stranded bench, worn old from the...

Melancholicity

Awake I am afraid to close my eyes for sleep has disappeared I've also forgotten how to dream all I have are memories and so I daydream turning back the hands of time to that moment when I was little playing with a toy with everything but worries worries these inconveniences that weigh me down crowding my mind blotting the light I seek would it have been I died it might have eased the pain pain heavy like guilt; makes weary soothing balm of forgetfulness dulls like intoxicant I swim and float unaware of where when, what and why I am no body body this vessel feeling strange like a body in possession nothing is really yours neither flesh nor thought lucidity is a mirage that tricks luring wayfarer to deserted dungeon like quicksand in a maze takes you a way to another dream where you awake. Pain

The pain stung like a thousand deaths then numbness took over I knew not if I was awake or on the other side yes, death would have definitely been a blessing anything but a sight of my tormentor was acceptable never knew I would be able to endure a pain more than that of losing you my heart burnt to ashes dispersed into the air left an empty hollow I have tried to fill only to discover that the burning left an endless abyss a blackhole that swallowed every light I threw at it pain was no more a feeling for it had become me. .
